Winners of the "Draw Keith Kofron Contest"

We had hundreds of entries for the "Draw Keith Kofron Contest".

Out of all those, a panel of judges (including Keith) have chosen

the following drawings as winners. Thanks to all those who entered!

Winners

 First Place Winner:
Shelby Johnson

Shelby is a lawyer in New York City. She is 36 years old and has been a fan of Keith's since Ceilings Below played a club in a hotel at Jane and West in the village back in 1986 as part of the New Music Seminar.

 Second Place Winner:
Tomas Ajoi'nt

Tomas studied Art for many years. His work has been described as "outsider." The child-like qualities of his paintings and his use of crayon have made his work a favorite in Paris as well as other art centers in the world. His drawings have been collected throughout the world. We were honored that he entered a work. All the judges were shocked it was his after they had picked Shelby's as the winner and found out the true identities of the winners

Third Place Winner:
Father Joseph Mc Mealey

The good father found Keith's music while doing research on the effects of pornography on modern composers. He entered the contest on a lark after hearing Keith's "A Moment Of Violence." "It was one of those times I was feeling restless, so I gave it a go. My work is a reflection of his song."

Runners-up

 Runner-up: Trent Reznor

This was an entry from The Louisiana Institute of Disorders. It was sent in by an inmate named Trent Reznor. It is titled "Keith, Under A Tree Sucking Down A Cold One While Playing Guitar." We called the hospital and were not able to make contact with Trent.

Runner-up: Xuio Yangpu

Our only entry from China. We couldn't read the letter but we loved the entry. In fact, we are not sure if that is the person's name or if that is the city he/she lives in. We sent her/him a CD. Hope ya got/get it!

Runner-up: Trent Reznor

Yes it is a second entry and the rules did state only one entry but it reminded 3 of the judges of Picasso. Besides, it's not like he gets a prize or anything. Only the top 3 received prizes. It is titled "Blue Keith."
